After a difficult or traumatic experience, its effects can stay with you for a while: upsetting memories that come back suddenly, avoiding places and people that remind you of what happened, or feeling constantly tense and on guard. This test helps you understand how much that experience affects you now.
The test has 17 questions and takes about 4 to 5 minutes. Each question has five answers describing how much each symptom bothered you over the past month, from "not at all" to "extremely". Take your time; you can go back to any earlier question and change your answer.
It is free and doesn't need an account. Your result appears as soon as you finish, with a simple explanation of what it means.
It is for any adult who has been through an accident, loss, violence or any severe experience and feels its effects are still there. The result is not a diagnosis, but it can help you see whether talking to a therapist would help you now.
Please read the scale items and choose the best answer that fits during the last 2 weeks. There are no right or wrong answers, and you do not need to spend too much time answering any of them.
